THE LAST EUROSATORY ARMS FAIR WAS IN PARIS IN JUNE 2018.

We are at every Eurosatory, and we are being joined by many peace and faith groups in the past, and our network throughout Europe is continuing to grow.

Quite a number of exciting events have been happening since the last Eurosatory exhibition in 2018 where we worked hard to raise awareness within France and beyond. To coincide with the arms fair, we had a fun presence in central Paris, with music and supporters joining us from around Europe.

Our aim was to help the general public become aware of arms fairs such as Eurosatory, the hidden influence of the arms trade on foreign policy, and the lack of investment in alternatives to armed responses to conflict. Almost every person we spoke to in central Paris had no idea that Eurosatory was happening that week at a nearby suburb called Villepinte.

SILENT MARCH - 11th June - 11:00 - 12:00

We held a march from COGES (which organises Eurosatory), outside the Parc Monceau, around the outside of the park, walking in silence to a drumbeat to mark the passage of the group, and beginning and closing the march with a silent witness.

RESEARCH

We are currently researching alternatives to the arms trade and will be joining with other peace groups to bring the most up-to-date research on non-violent alternatives to militarism. Watch this space!
